Seems to be .IN Growth program and the Free .Bharat IDN promotion programs are expired yesterday i.e. March 31, 2017 23:59:59 UTC. Effective on April 1 00:00 UTC, regular pricing will be in effect for .IN and .Bharat IDN new registrations , renewals, and transfers. Its not confirmed with .IN registry sources, this news item is only based on the price hike noticed at few domain name registrars.

What it means to .IN Domain Name registrants?
.IN registrants has to pay a higher price for new domain name registrations compare to the promo period prices. Renewals and Transfers are not discounted , so the prices likely to be unchanged for .IN domain name renewals and transfers.

Already noticed few registrars are increased the new domain name registration prices already. I really wish .IN Registry offering the renewal promos instead of the new registration promos. Renewal promos certainly help the .IN extension to have higher renewal rate and help to increase the stability of the .IN extension.
