www.co.in is accessible being redirected to a Chinese site and also Whois is also visible showing as Afilias being registrar and also hosted with them. We could see it’s resolving to a Korean IP at the time of publishing this article. Indeed a strange thing, how can a 3rd Level extension of a ccTLD is redirecting to a private website?, hope this will be fixed soon.
According to who is data, its showing Afilias as the registrar.
I have made the assumption that http://co.in and http://www.co.in resolving to the same site. However, the reality is http://WWW.co.in is not a reserved name and .IN registry has let this name registered by a private user.
At moment http://www.co.in is owned by a private entity based out of China, so there is nothing to panic about. We apologise for the confusion created if any.
